VERY SAD LAB is a houseplant rehabilitation and research-based community-engaged art project. As a mutual aid effort between artists Valerie Wiseman and Naoco Wowsugi, VSL offer free rehabilitation for sad plants and help plant parents learn and unlearn how to better care for their plants. VSL aim to democratize access to houseplants, practice healing and foster sustainable relationships between humans and more-than-human on both personal and planetary levels.
